2009-2013: MSci in Mathematics - University of Bristol

2013-2017: CDT in Communications PhD - University of Bristol

During my MSci I focused on applied maths. For my final year project I modelled DNA unknotting.

After my MSci I stayed in Bristol to undertake a PhD in communications engineering, and joined the CDT (centre for doctoral training). During the taught phase of the CDT I became interested in image processing, and have to join the Ecology of Vision group to study image processing in a biological context for my PhD.

Research Projects

  • Applications for Polarization Vision

I will investigate biologically inspired computer vision systems, which exploit the polarization of light to gain an advantage over conventional computer vision systems.

I am supervised by Dr Nicholas Roberts (Biological Sciences) and Prof David Bull (Electrical and Electronic Engineering).
